As a Software Engineer, you’ll help us push the boundaries of what legal tech can do. You’ll build web applications and core backend services that connect with AI models like GPT, Claude and Gemini.
Working at Filevine is a mix of solving real-world customer problems, owning features end to end and shaping how we build software at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of features from idea → release → maintenance
- Partner with Product to shape solutions before they’re built
- Contribute to a codebase that stays stable, readable, and fun to work in
- Build across the stack - UI, APIs, backend services (no “that’s not my part” energy)
- Collaborate across teams to deliver on time without unnecessary drama
- Review code thoughtfully and give feedback that helps the whole team level up
Requirements
- 1+ years building and shipping software products from start to release to maintenance
- Experience contributing to projects and designing solutions that can scale with use
- Comfortable working across the stack - more focused on solving problems than guarding territory
- Thrives in a remote, collaborative environment: async communication, clear thinking, no ego
- Able to work with operations and customer-facing teams to turn messy realities into clean solutions
- Familiar with or open to using: Python, Typescript, React, Svelte, Kubernetes, AWS (we care more about engineering skill than specific tools)
