Legal Research Analyst

Filevine is a fast growing Saas company in need of a Legal Research Analyst to assist our growing team. We are pioneering a new way of managing complex requirements and tasks and driving a higher level of customer satisfaction by improving communications. As a Legal Research Analyst your roles and responsibilities will be as follows
  • Research federal, state and local court procedural rules and add results to a searchable rules database
  • Establish procedures for identifying updated rules and ensure the rules database is maintained with the most recent rule changes
  • Streamline processes and create documentation to track research with the research team.
  • Recruit, hire and supervise other researchers as needed
  • Create an editorial process and guidelines to ensure consistency with other researchers
  • Support and educate the sales team as needed to understand customer needs
  • Participate in training as required and perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctorate with litigation experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to sort and assimilate information from original legal sources for later use.
  • Strong analytical, legal research and writing skills
  • Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style and Bluebook citation rules
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines
  • Flexibility necessary to adapt to changing business demands
  • Comfortable learning and working with technology
  • Demonstrated ability to sort and assimilate information from original legal sources for later use.
  • Litigation experience preferred
  • Ability to take direction from management along with the ability to educate management as needed
